The 2017 Honda Civic has returned with a few new features after its recent redesign. A hatchback option has been added to the range, and the turbocharged engine provides more power. Honda has also released two performance-focused Civics, the turbocharged Si and the powerful Civic Type R, which has an impressive 306 horsepower. The 2017 Honda Civic Coupe is a great choice for drivers looking for a car that is both stylish and practical. This two-door coupe offers excellent handling and performance, as well as a comfortable and spacious interior. With its modern and sporty design, and a range of advanced features, the Civic Coupe is sure to make a statement on the roads.
The 2017 Honda Civic is a compact car that comes in three body styles: sedan, coupe, and hatchback. The sedan has six different trims, ranging from the base LX to the top-of-the-line Si, while the hatchback has three trims: Sport, Sport Touring, and Type R. Even the base Civic LX is well-equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, a six-speed manual transmission, 16-inch alloy wheels, LED lights, power accessories, a rearview camera, Bluetooth, and a four-speaker sound system.
The Sport hatchback has the same features as the LX, but it also comes with an upgraded turbocharged engine, 18-inch alloy wheels, foglights, a dual exhaust, aerodynamic bodywork, a rear center armrest with cup holders, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob.
If you want more features and comfort with your LX, then upgrade to the EX. The EX includes a CVT transmission, a sunroof, heated side mirrors, rear center armrest with cup-holders, 8 speaker stereo with dual USB ports, LaneWatch blind-spot camera, dynamic rearview camera, keyless entry/ignition with remote start, and a 7" touchscreen with satellite radio, Pandora, HondaLink, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (including navigation apps).
The 2017 Honda Civic Coupe was designed with performance in mind. It offers two engine choices - a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder that puts out 158 horsepower, and a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine that delivers 174 horsepower. Both engines are linked to a continuously variable transmission (CVT) that ensures a smooth and responsive driving experience. If you upgrade to the EX-T Civic, you'll get the turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine (174 hp, 167 lb-ft) as well as the option of a six-speed manual transmission or an optional CVT (174 hp, 162 lb-ft). Not only does this engine provide great acceleration and great fuel economy, but you'll also get foglights, dual-zone automatic climate control and heated front seats as part of the package.
At the top of the range is the EX-L, which comes with the CVT transmission and luxurious leather upholstery, an eight-way power driver seat, an auto-dimming rearview mirror and an integrated navigation system. The Sport Touring trim, available only as a hatchback, adds 18-inch wheels, LED headlights, automatic wipers, a four-way power passenger seat, heated rear seats and a 12-speaker audio system. It also comes with the Honda Sensing safety package as standard, which includes adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane departure intervention, and forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking. This package is also available as an option on the other Civic trim levels. The Touring trim level for the sedan is similar to the Sport Touring hatchback, but with a slightly lower speaker count of 10 instead of 12.
The Civic Si comes as a coupe or sedan, with a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine providing 205 hp and 192 lb-ft of torque. It's the only transmission with a six-speed manual and comes with a sport-tuned suspension, bigger front brakes, a limited-slip front differential, a unique rear spoiler, Si branded seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a 10-speaker stereo, and a unique instrument panel with faux carbon-fiber surfaces. All of that plus the same great features you get with the EX-T trim - sounds like a great deal!
If you're looking for the ultimate performance experience in a Civic, the Type R hatchback is the way to go! It's equipped just like the Sport Touring trim level, but it also comes with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine (306 hp, 285 lb-ft). Plus, it's only available with a six-speed manual transmission - just like the Si. And that's not all - you'll also get 20-inch wheels with high-performance tires, bigger front and rear brakes, a massive rear wing, a Type R-specific suspension with adaptive dampers, and special interior and exterior styling enhancements.
