The 2017 Forester receives numerous updates from the previous 2016 Forester, starting with wider feature availability, additional noise insulation and quicker steering response. The enhanced EyeSight safety system adds lane-departure intervention and a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, while automatic high-beam headlight control is newly available, as are adaptive LED headlights and reverse automatic braking. Styling revisions include new headlights and taillights, plus a freshened front end and grille.
