Hey, check it out - the 2017 Ford F-150 just got a major upgrade! They redesigned the optional turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 engine and paired it with a new 10-speed transmission. This new combo gives you better fuel economy and way more horsepower and torque. Plus, the off-road Raptor model is back with a high-output version of that same engine. And if you're into appearances, there's a new STX package that adds extra features to the XL.

Now, there's a lot to choose from when it comes to features, options, packages, engines, and bed configurations for this bad boy. But don't worry, we've got your back. You've got six main trim levels to choose from: base XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited. And if you're looking for something extra special, there's also the high-performance off-road F-150 Raptor that's not part of the standard lineup.

If you need a work truck, the XL with the 101A package is decent. But if you want something more passenger-friendly, you should upgrade to at least the XLT with the 301A package. And if you're ready to ball out, the Lariat is the gateway to the luxury truck of your dreams.

Hey, did you know that the Ford F-150 comes in three different cab styles? You got your regular cab, your SuperCab (which is like an extended cab), and your SuperCrew (which is like a crew cab). And depending on which cab you choose, you can get a 6.5 or 8-foot bed for the regular and SuperCabs, or a 5.5 or 6.5-foot bed for the SuperCrew.

Now, let's talk engines. There's a 3.5-liter V6 that gets you 282 horsepower and 253 pound-feet, a turbocharged 2.7-liter V6 with 325 hp and 375 lb-ft, and a 5.0-liter V8 with 385 hp and 387 lb-ft. All of them come with a six-speed automatic transmission. But if you want to kick it up a notch, you can go for the turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 with a whopping 375 hp and 470 lb-ft, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. And get this: you can even get these engines on the base XL work truck.

Speaking of the XL, it comes with 17-inch steel wheels, automatic headlights, trailer sway control, pre-wired trailer connections, manual mirrors and windows, vinyl flooring, a cloth-upholstered front bench, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, a driver information display, air-conditioning, a 4.2-inch central display screen, and a four-speaker radio with an auxiliary jack. The SuperCab and SuperCrew models have 60/40-split folding rear seats and two extra speakers, and any 4x4 model gets front tow hooks. Most XL configurations come with the 3.5-liter engine, but certain versions of the 4x2 extended-cab and crew-cab models require the turbocharged 2.7-liter, and the 4x4 versions of those models come with the 5.0-liter. Pretty cool, huh?

So if you wanna upgrade your ride, you can add the 101A package to get power windows and locks (even on the tailgate), power mirrors, remote locking and unlocking, cruise control, and Ford's MyKey vehicle control feature. Plus, you'll get a bigger driver info screen, Sync voice controls, Bluetooth, smartphone app integration, a USB port, and even a CD player.

If you're feeling fancy, you can also add on some chrome and sport appearance packages, the FX4 Off-Road package, side steps, a tailgate assist step, and bedliners. And if you need to tow some stuff, you can get the trailer tow packages with Ford's Pro Trailer Backup Assist system (which basically helps you back up with a trailer).

Now, if you're looking at the XLT trim, you'll get all the stuff from the XL's 101A package, plus some alloy wheels, chrome bumpers and exterior trim, foglights, a keypad entry system, rear privacy glass, carpeting, four-way-adjustable headrests, manual driver and passenger lumbar adjustments, and extra storage bins and pockets.

But wait, there's more! You can also upgrade your XLT with the Mid 301A package, which gives you heated mirrors, an auto-dimming driver-side and rearview mirror, a trailer hitch, a cargo management system, an eight-way power-adjustable driver seat, power-adjustable pedals, rear under-seat storage, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a rearview camera, and a seven-speaker sound system with satellite radio. Or, you can go all out with the Luxury 302A package, which adds a power-sliding rear window, rear parking sensors, LED bed lighting, remote ignition, heated and 10-way power-adjustable front seats, a 110-volt power outlet, an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and an extra USB port.

And if you really wanna customize your ride, you can add some box side steps, a sunroof (either regular or panoramic), blind-spot monitoring, inflatable rear seat belts, or a navigation system.

So, when you upgrade to the F-150 Lariat, you're gonna get a lot of the same cool features that come with the XLT Luxury 302A package, like the turbocharged 2.7-liter engine, 18-inch wheels, and keyless entry and ignition. Plus, you'll get some extra sweet stuff like power-folding mirrors, dual-zone automatic climate control, and leather upholstery with ventilated front seats. And if you really wanna go all out, you can add the Mid 501A or Luxury 502A packages for even more cool features, like LED headlights and taillights, heated rear seats, and an 11-speaker Sony audio system.

If you're looking for something a little more fancy, the King Ranch and Platinum trims have got you covered. The King Ranch has a Western styling theme and the 5.0-liter V8 engine, while the Platinum has 20-inch wheels and wood and aluminum interior trim. And if you want the ultimate F-150 experience, check out the Limited trim with the turbocharged 3.5-liter motor, upgraded leather upholstery, and tons of standard features.

But if you're more of an off-road adventurer, you gotta check out the F-150 Raptor. It's got a specially tuned version of the turbocharged 3.5-liter engine with 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. Plus, it's got a reinforced frame, a special four-wheel-drive system, and a modified suspension that can handle all kinds of crazy terrain. And don't forget about those flared fenders and upgraded off-road tires, too.
