Honda Insight P erformance
Honda Insight is powered by the Integrated Motor Assist ™ (IMA ™) system comprised of gasoline 1.3-liter i-VTEC ® 4-cylinder and 10-kilowatt electric motor. The combination is developing 98 horsepower at 5800 rpm and 123 lb-ft. of torque at 1000-1700 rpm. For 2012, measures to reduce friction in the engine and Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) contributed to the increase in fuel economy of new models. A 10.6 liter fuel tank provides an estimated maximum driving range exceeding 400 miles.
Honda Insight Interior
Honda Insight interior improvements for 2012 include re-rear seat for better leg and headroom; redesigned gauge cluster background with a more technically sophisticated appearance; reconstituted beverage holders, center console that accommodates a larger drink, and armrest more supportive front (Insight LX and EX).
Honda Insight Increase visibility to the rear with the rear wiper motor housing is more compact and mounted rear spoiler that creates a thinner larger viewing area outside the window of the lower back. Insight becomes quieter for 2012 with the thickness increases to existing vehicle noise insulation materials and extra insulation panels in the cargo area.
